Nutritional Therapy Practitioners work with clients to uncover weaknesses and nutritional deficiencies in the body. We support the body in healing itself by balancing nutrients through diet, supplements, and lifestyle recommendations.
Nutritional Therapy Practitioners look at the whole person, paying close attention to a wide variety of signs and symptoms connected to the foundational systems of the body. We create specifically tailored diet and lifestyle plans for each client.
Nutritional Therapy is evidence-based and backed by science, honoring bio-individuality and innate intelligence. Our training is rooted in scientific principles about how the human body functions, anatomically and physiologically. NTP’s look at each unique individual, gather information through questionnaires, conversations, and our functional clinical assessment. Once we have gathered and analyze all sources of info, we make lifestyle, dietary, and supplement recommendations.
The philosophy behind nutritional therapy is that the myriad of health problems plaguing modern society result from weaknesses in the body’s physiological foundations brought on by poor nutrition. Our foundational, holistic approach focuses on the importance of properly prepared, nutrient-dense, whole foods paired with a well-balanced lifestyle to restore good health.
1) Real food, close to nature, supports health.
Nutrition pioneers Dr. Weston Price and Dr. Francis Pottenger, Jr. observed rapid declines in health when previously healthy populations gave up traditional diets and began consuming modern, processed, nutrient-poor diets.
2) Respect for bioindividuality
Every individual has a specific genetic, ancestral, and geographical makeup that determines their unique nutritional needs.
3) Focus on the Foundations
The body has a profound ability to heal itself when you provide it with the right building blocks. When one eats the right foods and balances the Foundations, health naturally follows. The foundations are diet, digestion, blood sugar, hydration, fatty acids, and minerals.

What is the Functional Clinical Assessment?
The Functional Clinical Assessment is a process which allows us to identify organ systems under stress and then prioritize support accordingly.
Every organ system is surrounded by a NEURO (brain) – VASCULAR (blood vessel) or NEURO-LYMPHATIC (lymph vessels) network. When an organ system becomes stressed, blood and or lymph is shunted to these networks in efforts to draw the necessary nutrients to support the organ. This collection of fluid takes up space and registers as tenderness in the body at that organ system which we ask you to rate between 0-10.
Because of the neural or electrical connection between the brain and organs, we can place a specific nutrient on the tongue that each organ needs which is registered by the brain. If the nutrient is exactly what that organ system needs to restore function we get direct feedback within around 15 seconds via a change in tenderness rating.
